Time to Check Your Credit Report

Did you know that every 12 months you are eligible for a free copy of your credit report from the three major credit bureaus: Equifax, Experian and Trans Union.

Simply visit annualcreditreport.com for convenient online, phone and mail options. You will be required to confirm personal information to verify your identity.

What to Check

At the minimum, please verify that the following information is accurate:

• Full name
• Social Security number
• Current and past addresses
• Employer
• Credit inquiries
• Active and past accounts

Credit Score

If you also wish to obtain your FICO credit score, you may do so online from all three credit bureaus. You will also have access to resources that can help you understand your scores and how to improve them, if necessary.

If you suspect fraud

If inaccuracies exist (e.g., accounts you didn't open or unexplained debts on legitimate accounts), you lose any personal information or you suspect identity theft, notify all three credit bureaus immediately via telephone and in writing.
