Fraud and ID Theft - Protect YourselfFraud and Identity Theft can occur at anytime. It is important that our members realize that they need to be proactive in protecting their accounts and information. UBCCU employs many different systems, policies, and processes to ensure the security of our members information. We will never contact our members and ask for information we already have on file, such as account numbers, PIN numbers, balance limits, etc. However, if you are communicating with the CU, we may ask you some questions to verify your identity, such as the last 4 digits of your social security number, or your date of birth. If you contact the CU via e-mail, please do not include your account number or ATM/Debit/Credit card number in that message. E-mails are not secure when being transmitted over the internet.
